INDESMAR has conducted a number of Courses, Seminars, Conferences and Forums about topics of interest in the maritime/port sphere relating to port rates and costs and port security; as well as in the economic, administrative, accounting, engineering and systems fields, having for such purpose the required infrastructure (auditorium for 50 people) and specialized personnel according to the user's needs.

Among the last events carried out by the Institute of Maritime Research and Development - INDESMAR, we have the following:

"International Seminar on Investment, Efficiency and Port Security": as Local Coordinator of the Organization of American States (OAS) of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) in Lima, Peru. March, 2004.

"International Seminar on Strategic Port Rate Fixing": organized in conjunction with the Inter-American Committee on Ports (CIP) of the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Transport Section of the United Nations Conference on Maritime Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Lima - Peru. September 2002 [The book "Tarificación Portuaria Estratégica" (Strategic Port Rate Fixing) was published].

"Regional Course on Port Security for Andean Countries": organized in conjunction with the Inter-American Committee on Ports of the Organization of American States (CIP-OAS), US MARAD and the Ministry of Transport and Communications - MTC, Lima - Peru. August, 2002.

Seminar IPP4: "Strategic Port Rate Fixing" by the Engineer Carlos Cañamero G., Economic Affairs Official in the Transport Section of the United Nations Conference on Maritime Trade and Development –UNCTAD. This seminar was attended by Mr. Carlos M. Gallegos, Secretary of the Special Inter-American Committee on Ports of the Organization of American States.
